Markerstudy announces key hires

Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited (MISL), the UK’s largest MGA, has welcomed two new senior team members to their Broker Management and Product Divisions in a strategic move to enhance MISL’s offering to existing and new broker partners.

Andy Rigby, Head of Technical Underwriting

Reporting to Gary Humphreys, Group Underwriting Director, Andy joins from Willis Towers Watson and boasts an established background in Pricing, Machine Learning and AI capability, a combination that is firmly on the agenda for Markerstudy’s actuarial and underwriting divisions this year. His CV includes positions at Hastings and Allianz.

Gary Humphreys said “We’ve introduced the new role of Head of Technical Underwriting as it’s integral to our 2020 pricing plans and the launch of our MHR platform. Technology is firmly on centre stage and Andy will be the meridian between our underwriting Heads and our actuarial function.”

Amanda Fox, Head of Broker Development – PL Nationals

Reporting to Anthony Foster, Head of Broker Management, Amanda brings to her new role a wealth of experience in the insurance industry. Starting her career at Norwich Union and going on to work for a variety of Insurance businesses – from start-ups to multinationals, her many strengths include identifying opportunities, negotiation, and achieving profitable growth.

Anthony Foster commented “Amanda will be bringing these skills and more to developing partnerships within our National Accounts, and working closely with Andy and others to help ensure the success of MHR through our major screen rated partners.”
